Fashion Revolution
Five years ago today the Rana Plaza building in Bangladesh collapsed. 1,138 people died and another 2,500 were injured, making it the fourth largest industrial disaster in history. There were five garment factories in Rana Plaza all manufacturing clothing for 29 brands. The victims were mostly young women.
Since then, people from all over the world have joined the Fashion Revolution to use the power of fashion to change the world. Based in the UK, with a team of country coordinators from across the globe, the not for profit Community Interest Company no: 8988812 believes in a fashion industry that values people, planet, creativity and profit in equal measure and that positive change starts with transparency, traceability and openness.
