One with Nature
Karl Lagerfield is known for his set design and experiential elements at Chanel. Remember the Food X Fashion Supermarket at Paris Fashion Week in 2014?
This year, the Grand Palais was transformed into a magical greenhouse forest with 21 trees, a thick bed of leaves, living moss, and an infinite forest backdrop along the perimeter. The blue sky beyond the glass dome of the historic site was Mother Nature’s touch – as models strolled through the fall/winter 2018 presentation.
"I teared up, walking into the show today. The fresh smell of moss with leaves crunching at my feet made moments in Paris feel like the Pacific Northwest." - Heidi Nymark, Trendscaping Beauty Contributor
As many brands adopt seasonless collections, Chanel is embracing the concept of seasonality via sensory transformation and natural textures that seem like they’ve come directly from a Twin Peaks or The Killing movie set.
